MEET RENAYE
I love creating living photographs, the kind of photographs that take your breath away and make your heart sing, because to be honest, your family is far too important and life is far too short for anything less. Your portraits need to be about what matters most, telling your story in a timeless manner.
With new life, I am all about creating an authentic document of your newborn. Capturing their perfect little details in a way they will never be again; brand new. We really only get a small fraction of time, around 5-12 days before your newborn quickly transitions into a baby.
Because I want your session with me to be as relaxed as possible, I work with your family and newborn all in the comfort of your own home. My style is a mixture of ‘relaxed and posed portraiture’ - and so for me, less is more.
I want to capture those beautifully posed images as well as simple, natural images.
I know the power of a single photograph that draws you in, and speaks to you. A photograph that will out live and outlast, and will always carry with it, a special message that will say so much more than any words ever could.
I remember as a child, spending hours looking through our family photos which were tucked away in my parent's wardrobe. A few years ago I was looking through them and in my mind, I just knew that capturing memories like these was what I wanted to do. Moving forward a few years and I'm lucky to call this my job.
